The higher the protection class of housings, the higher the risk of condensation forming due to temperature fluctuations.
Temperature fluctuations cause the pressure conditions to change and moist ambient air enters the housing through negative pressure.
The moist ambient air then condenses on the (cold) housing wall and “condensation” can form in the housing.
Pressure compensation screw connections compensate for pressure changes while maintaining a high degree of protection and prevent the ingress of dust and humidity.
The pressure compensation screw connections are suitable for use in cabinets and housings.
Fastening PG 29 thread with union nut
Tightening torque 5 Nm
Material plastic according to UL94 V-0, light gray;
high weather and UV resistance according to UL746C (f1)
Gasket sealing ring NBR
Air inlet area approx. 1.5 cm²
Dimensions Ø 65.5 x 30.5 mm
Installation position vertical¹
Operating/storage temperature -45 to +70 °C
¹ If the DAE is not installed vertically, the protection class is reduced to IP44.
Assembly instructions
Drill an air opening Ø 37⁺¹ mm in the housing wall and fasten the pressure compensation screw connection with a nut. It is important to ensure that the sealing ring is located on the outer housing wall. To ensure optimal pressure equalization, it is recommended to install two pressure equalization screw connections diagonally offset from one another.
So one screw connection at the bottom left, the other at the top right.
